“But just as you excel in everything… see that you also excel in this grace of giving”. 2 Corinthians 8:7

Stewarding our Resources to Further God’s Kingdom
Bridgewater Baptist is committed to building bridges with those far from God, generously extending blessing to those in need in our broken world, and helping each of us become a fully-devoted follower of Jesus Christ. It’s our privilege and joy to partner together with God in advancing his kingdom cause in the world by using our financial resources through the local church.

Ways to Give at Bridgewater Baptist
At Bridgewater Baptist, there are multiple ways to give. Each method allows God’s work to be done as you are faithful in your calling to give back in a way that blessed others and advances God’s purposes in the world.  Find one that’s right for you. If you are having any problems or need assistance with online giving, you can send an email to info@bridgewaterbaptist.com.  In any of the methods shown below, you can designate what area of ministry you'd like your donation to go by merely specifying it on your envelope or in the note area provided by online giving methods.

Pre-Authorized Debit

Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) is the easiest and most effective way to automate your giving.  It is automatic and even if services are cancelled, you can be assured that your tithe/offering will go where you designate it to go.  Once it is set up, you may update or change your giving at any time. To sign-up, click the above link or complete an PAD form which is available through the church or by visiting the Welcome Center on Sunday morning. The forms can be mailed, faxed or delivered to the Bridgewater Baptist office.  You can download also download the form here.

Sunday Services Offering Envelopes

Regular or special offerings can be made to the church during the worship services by using your own church envelopes. If you would like a set of giving envelopes where you can write cheques or use cash and then place in the offering plate, simply contact the church office or visit the Welcome Center in the main lobby on Sunday mornings and you’ll be given a set there.

Interac E-Transfer NEW

Regular or special offerings can be made to the church at any time through your banking software. To securely give your tithes and offerings and other donations online all you need is access to online or mobile banking through a participating financial institution using INTERAC eTransfer. You can send money directly to Bridgewater Baptist without sharing any personal financial information.  It’s a great alternative to cheques and cash. Please send your contribution to giving@bridgewaterbaptist.com  You will receive a tax receipt at the end of the year like normal and we will automatically know (from your bank) who made the donation when it comes in.  If you you like to designate funds to a particular ministry or fund (eg. Building Fund), please use the message section to do so.  Alternatively, you can call the office or email them telling them your wishes.

Canada Helps

We have an account at CanadaHelps.org that you can donate via credit card online.  As this is a third-party resource, we are charged a fee, but if any of the above donation methods for some reason do not work, this is a great resource.  Click on the CanadaHelps.org logo on the right to donate now.

The Benefits of Giving

When you give you reflect the generous character of God and have the opportunity to experience the joy of generosity which Jesus talked about when he said, “it is far more blessed to give than it is to receive” (Acts 20:35).  Regular, consistent, heartfelt giving is a practical expression of one’s gratitude and worship to God. It’s meant to show that God is a top priority in our lives (Prov. 3:9).

In addition to the spiritual benefits of giving, there are very practical advantages that reduce your income tax. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulates charities under the Income Tax in Canada. Under the Act, donations to registered charities can help to reduce your income tax. Typically, the tax benefit after the initial $200 donation in Nova Scotia is over 45%.
(each amount you give will be recorded with your name in your record of giving)
