We are participating in the CHANGE FOR CHANGE campaign again this year from Mother’s Day until Father’s Day. Put on by Servant’s Heart DR, this fundraiser supports their ministry to pregnant women and young babies in the Dominican Republic, providing education and practical assistance. In the foyer you will find a table with a large plastic baby bottle bank and a basket of smaller bottles. Please put change in the large bottle and/or take home a small bottle to put change in on a daily basis. There is a signup sheet for the small bottles and you will receive a tax receipt for donations over $10.00 from Servant’s Heart if you provide your name and contact information. Please consider supporting this worthwhile cause.

Daily Bread.  The next quarter’s Daily Bread Readings have arrived and are on the shelf at the Information Center.  The booklets are provided free of charge to the church.  If you would like to make a donation to help cover the costs of printing and shipping, you can add it to your church envelope and we will forward the donation to Daily Bread.

The Watoto Children’s Choir will be here again on Thursday, May 23rd at 6:30 pm. When the choir came in 2017, our church family came alive with love, service and JOY for this wonderful group. We are looking for people to help with, concert set up and take down, billeting, food donations, meal prep, etc. Sign-ups are now posted in the foyer, so please stop by and see what you can to do to help this incredible ministry. Please see Trina or David Mitchell for more info.

Cookies & Lemonade: We are looking for help with Cookies & Lemonade after the Sunday service each week in July and August. We need people to donate the treats and people to set up and clean up (which is a great thing to do as a family or a group of friends). Please see the signup sheet in the foyer.

Spring Clean Up: The CE&A & Kitchen Committees and the Board of Trustees are hosting a joint cleanup event on Saturday, May 25th. We will be doing tasks inside & outside the church PLUS a Glen Allan and trail cleanup of garbage extended to the community. Clean up begins at 8:00 am. Everyone is invited back to the church for coffee, juice and snacks starting at 9:30. We hope you can join us!

Umbrella Groups: The CE&A Committee is gathering a list of all the various activities and small groups here at BBC, so we can easily keep our community updated on all the great things happening in our church. If you run a bible study, prayer group or other such activity in the church, please reach out to Trina Mitchell to let her know.

Calling all Graduates! Grad Sunday is coming up, so if you have a child, grandchild or international student graduating high school this year, please let a member of the CE&A committee or the church office know. We will be recognizing graduates in late June for their hard work and wonderful accomplishments.
