Rev. Dr. Aaron Kenny

Senior Pastor
E-mail Rev. Dr. Aaron Kenny

I am overjoyed that the Lord has led our family to return to the South Shore and to serve with the people of Bridgewater Baptist Church in fulfilling the mission of God in this community.

Growing up on Prince Edward Island, I love the ocean and enjoying the beauty of the Maritimes. Along with camping and relaxing with friends around a campfire, I enjoy cartooning, making stained glass, and playing games with Erica and our three children. As a family, we are excited to become a part of this community.

The Gospel is about transformation. It is the good news that in Christ every dimension of life changes and is brought into wholeness and light. God is on the move in Bridgewater. As ordinary people, may we rediscover the adventure of journeying with our extraordinary God.

Pastor Aaron will be coming to Bridgewater in June 2019 to serve as our lead pastor. He has worked with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) since 2006 where he and his wife, Erica, have directed the diverse partnerships, programs, and staff of CBM throughout Africa. Aaron has experience designing and facilitating training programs amongst denominations in Africa and managing relief and development projects.

Prior to working with CBM, Aaron served in pastoral leadership at the Midland Baptist Church (New Brunswick) and the Mahone Bay United Baptist Church (Nova Scotia). He has also served in ministry at New Minas Baptist Church, West End Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church, Charlottetown. He is a doctoral graduate of Carey Divinity College and holds degrees from both Acadia Divinity College and the University of Prince Edward Island.

E-mail Erica Kenny

I am delighted to be returning to Nova Scotia after serving with Canadian Baptist Ministries, in Africa, for the past 13 years. My husband, Aaron and I plan on living in Bridgewater with our daughter, Ava. Our son, Tristan and daughter, Emma, will both be attending Mount St. Vincent University, Halifax. I enjoy adventuring with our children, crafting, baking, campfires, board games and just being with family and friends.

As I look forward to serving with you, I believe our ministry is about building up believers, reaching out to our neighbours with the love of Jesus, and having fun doing it together!

Debbie Zwicker

Organist and Choir Director

Debbie Zwicker began as the organist and choir director in Bridgewater in August 1995. She is the youngest of five children and grew up in a family that surrounded itself with music and church activities. Some of her favorite musical memories are of multi-generations of family members gathering in “the music room” for an evening of music and fun. Debbie lives in Scarsdale with her husband Sterling and two children, Dominique and Jackson.
